Michelle Hill Will Help Retail Space Cater to Needs of Guests and Locals
Hotel Saranac, Curio Collection by Hilton is proud to announce Michelle Hill as Retail Manager of Academy & Main.
Academy & Main, a nod to the iconic intersection in the heart of downtown Saranac Lake, is the hotel’s reimagined retail space that captures the magic of the Adirondacks and brings that spirit to guests and locals alike. Hill will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the space.
Academy & Main will not only offer guests keepsakes of their adventures in the Adirondacks, but will be a place for residents to stroll through and discover cool finds. Hill is a long-time resident of the area who remembers when the retail space at Hotel Saranac was an anchor store in the village.
"It was the village’s largest retail shop and it will be again,” Hill says. “The people here are so excited to have it back."
Hill has over 20 years of management experience. She owns her own interior design business and was most recently the practice administrator/manager for the Adirondack Surgical Group.
"Michelle knows the area’s culture and understands exactly how to bring that to our guests," says Michael Salyers, General Manager of Hotel Saranac.
Academy & Main will offer products that are not only authentic and local, but have a unique story to them. Visitors will be able to shop for stylish clothing for both men and women, be tempted by the penny candy section or find a special memento such as a locally-crafted candle to commemorate their getaway.
